How does AquaSafe work?

Stored dry, when AquaSafe flood bags are deployed and activated by water, its super absorbent polymer polymer absorbs up to 50 lbs. of water, in just 5 minutes. This makes AquaSafe far more sturdy, consistent and stable than a sandbag.

Are AquaSafe the same as other sandless sandbags?

No.  These products look similar on paper but they a very thin (tear easily) and are basically bags of dust. The "dust" is a lower grade polymer which will not hold the water for as long.  They are not thick (like a sandbag), inflate to almost 5 inches, or a comparable in volume, size, weight. The dust (now in gel form) will almost immediately leach out of the casing, creating a new problem.

Can I re-use AquaSafe flood bags?

YES. While they are activated, you can re-use them to create different shaped water stopping berms or use them to move them around to create a variety of different barriers or guide rushing or rising water away from valuable property. They will shrink while evaporating and grow when re-exposed to water.

NOTE: Due to contamination absorption concerns do not keep AquaSafe if used in anything other than "fresh" water.  Re-activate after fresh water use only.
